Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Unus SDR is operated by Unus AI ("we," "us," or "our"). We provide an AI-powered sales automation platform that sends email outreach on your behalf. For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at privacy@unus-ai.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and password when you register.
  • Organization data — company name and settings you configure within the platform.
  • Email content — email messages composed and sent through the platform, and any knowledge base content you upload.
  • Lead data — contact information (names, email addresses, company details) for the prospects you add or that the agent sources on your behalf.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the platform.
  • Billing data — payment method details collected and processed by Stripe on our behalf. We do not store raw card numbers.

3. How we use your information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Unus SDR platform.
  • Send email campaigns on your behalf through your connected mailbox.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Respond to your support requests and communications.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.

4. Service providers and subprocessors

We share your information only with the third-party service providers necessary to operate the platform. We do not sell your data. The full list below is what a client’s legal team will ask for, so it names every provider the platform is configured to call rather than a representative sample.

  • Infrastructure: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and authentication), Upstash QStash (job scheduling), Sentry (error monitoring).
  • Email delivery and mailbox access: Google (Gmail API), Microsoft (Graph API), EmailEngine (IMAP and SMTP).
  • AI: Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), Hugging Face (inference).
  • Lead data and enrichment: Apollo.io, Hunter.io, People Data Labs, Apify, Explorium.
  • Email verification: Reoon, ZeroBounce, AbstractAPI.
  • Integrations you choose to connect: Calendly, HubSpot, Unipile (LinkedIn).
  • Payments and analytics: Stripe, PostHog.

We notify clients before adding a subprocessor that processes their data. A current copy of this list is available in our data processing agreement.

5. Email sending and your contacts

When you use Unus SDR, the platform sends email on your behalf from the mailbox you connect. You decide who is contacted, and you are responsible for the lawfulness of contacting them. That responsibility is shared rather than handed over, so the platform enforces the following on every message it sends, whatever you ask it to do:

  • Every message carries a working one-click unsubscribe and your postal address. A message cannot be sent without both.
  • Countries whose law requires consent before a first commercial email are blocked by default. Canada, Germany and Italy are blocked outright, and several others are held pending legal review.
  • Every address is verified before it is written to, and a reply asking to stop is suppressed permanently and automatically.
  • Messages are sent from a real, named person who receives the replies. The platform will not sign mail with an invented identity.

Cold email law differs by country. Most of the Americas and much of Europe permit business-to-business contact with a working opt-out; a minority require prior consent. Where your intended audience falls on that line is worth confirming with your own counsel before you launch.

6. Data retention & security

We retain your account data while your account is active and delete it within 30 days of a deletion request, except where retention is legally required (e.g., billing records up to 7 years). We use encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction/objection, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email privacy@unus-ai.com. We respond within 30 days. California residents (CCPA): we do not sell personal information.
